Ace of Cups

A hand rises from the clouds bearing an overflowing cup, water spilling in five streams as a dove descends. The Ace of Cups speaks of the seed of feeling: a new love, an opening of the heart, a wellspring of tenderness or compassion. It is emotion before it has a story, pure and brimming.

Upright

The heart is being offered something fresh, and the invitation is to receive it with open hands. This can be new love, renewed feeling, or a softening that lets life touch you again. Let yourself be filled before you ask what it means.

Reversed

Reversed, the cup can feel blocked, withheld, or quietly overflowing in the wrong direction. There may be emotion held back, or tenderness that cannot find its way out. Notice what your heart is protecting, and from whom.
