Five of Pentacles

The Five of Pentacles shows two figures passing through the snow outside a lit, stained-glass window, one injured, both seemingly overlooked. The card speaks of hardship, the feeling of being left out in the cold, and the loneliness that can accompany lack. Yet warmth is just beyond the glass.

Upright

A season of want or exclusion may feel isolating, materially or emotionally. Remember that help is often nearer than the cold makes it seem. The lit window is there; it asks you to let yourself approach it.

Reversed

Reversed, there can be recovery, the return of support, or the first step out of hardship. There may also be a stubborn refusal to ask for the help that is available. Notice whether you are coming in from the cold or insisting on staying out in it.
