Five of Wands

Minor Arcana

Five of Wands

Five young figures raise their staves in different directions, looking more like a noisy rehearsal than a true war. The Five of Wands speaks of friction, competition, and forces trying to find a common rhythm. There may be conflict, but also vitality and the learning of where you stand.

Upright

Not all tension is failure; sometimes it is the sound of something alive looking for form. Friction here can reveal what actually matters to you. The card asks where your fire needs a channel rather than suppression.

Reversed

Reversed, conflict can repeat without teaching anything, draining energy into the same arguments. It may also show a habit of holding back to avoid disturbing anyone. Ask which dispute hides a legitimate desire asking for clearer expression.
