Four of Cups

Minor Arcana

Four of Cups

The Four of Cups shows a figure seated beneath a tree, arms crossed, gazing at three cups while a fourth is offered from a cloud, unnoticed. The card speaks of discontent, withdrawal, and the moment when the heart has turned inward and stopped seeing what is being offered. It is emotional fatigue, not absence of gifts.

Upright

Something may be quietly on offer that you have not yet looked up to see. This is a time to notice where boredom or longing has dulled your attention. Ask what blessing is waiting just outside your current focus.

Reversed

Reversed, the withdrawal may be lifting, or it may be deepening into apathy and self-isolation. There can be a turning point where the heart begins to re-engage. Notice whether you are emerging from the daze or sinking further into it.
