The Hierophant

The Hierophant raises his hand before two kneeling figures, framed by crossed keys and pillars of tradition. He stands for the lineages that move through us: family, faith, ritual, teachers, and the shared codes that give meaning to the invisible. He represents wisdom arriving through belonging to something larger.

Upright

There is value here in learning, mentorship, and the comfort of a path others have walked before you. Tradition and shared values can steady you when you let them teach rather than dictate. Seek the structure that nourishes your faith instead of replacing it.

Reversed

Reversed, tradition can curdle into dogma, conformity, or a borrowed voice that drowns out your own experience. Approval may be standing in the place where conviction should be. Some beliefs still feed you; ask which one is quietly asking for a farewell.
