Three of Swords

Minor Arcana

Three of Swords

The Three of Swords shows a heart pierced by three blades beneath grey rain and cloud. The card speaks of heartbreak, sorrow, and the clean ache of a truth that wounds. It does not hide the pain; it names it plainly.

Upright

There is grief here that asks to be acknowledged rather than rushed past. A painful truth or a loss has cut, and the rain is part of the healing. Let the heart feel what it must so that it can begin to clear.

Reversed

Reversed, the pain may be beginning to ease, or it may be held onto past its season. There can be the start of recovery, or a wound kept open by replaying it. Notice whether you are healing or rehearsing the hurt.
