Minor Arcana
Two of Swords
The Two of Swords shows a blindfolded figure holding two crossed swords before a moonlit sea, perfectly still. The card speaks of a stalemate, a choice avoided, and the tense peace of refusing to look. The blindfold keeps the decision at bay, but not forever.
Upright
A choice is being held in suspension, often to avoid the discomfort of deciding. The invitation is to remove the blindfold and let the heart inform the mind. Stillness can be wisdom or avoidance; notice which this is.
Reversed
Reversed, the stalemate may break, for better or worse, as information returns or the avoidance collapses. There can be release or overwhelm. Notice whether the truth is finally being faced or simply forcing its way in.
